Ang 130

  1. ਤਿਸੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    That God has no form or shape, yet He is seen pervading all hearts.

  2. ਤੂ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥

    But it is only by following the Guru’s teachings that incomprehensible One can be realized

  3. ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥

    O’ God, You are the merciful and compassionate Master for all creatures.

  4. ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਸਾਦੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

    Without You, there is no other at all.

  5. ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਾ ॥

    O’ God, You Yourself are the True Creator.

  6. ਭਗਤੀ ਭਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥

    If the Guru showers his grace, and blesses one with the Name, then by meditating on the Name one merges in You.

  7. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

    O’ God, You Yourself are the True Creator.

  8. ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੇ ॥

    Your treasures of devotional worship are overflowing.

  9. ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮੇਰੇ ॥

    O’ my Beloved, I may keep praising You.

  10. ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਚਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

    When a Guru’s follower is blessed with Naam, he feels delighted and intuitively enters into a state of deep contemplation.

  11. ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈ ॥

    O’ God, bless me, that I may always sing your praises.

  12. ਅਪਣੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਲੈਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥

    O’ my Beloved, I may keep praising You.

  13. ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

    It is only through the perfect Guru one can meditate on God. One can enjoy the bliss by enshrining the Guru’s teachings in the heart.

  14. ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥

    Without You, there is no other for me to seek out.

  15. ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸਚੇ ਭਾਵੈ ॥

    It is only by Guru’s Grace that You are realized.

  16. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਚੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

    The Guru’s follower always remains imbued with the love of God. Realizing the eternal God, glory is obtained.

  17. ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥

    O’ God, You are incomprehensible.

  18. ਜੂਐ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਭ ਬਾਜੀ ਹਾਰੀ ॥

    No one has been able to know Your limit.

  19. ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

    Within him is the greed and terrible darkness of ignorance. He keeps suffering in the cycles of birth and death.

  20. ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਪਾਈ ॥

    When You show Your mercy on someone, You unite that person with Yourself.

  21. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧॥੩੪॥

    It is only through the perfect Guru one can meditate on God.

  22. ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੧ ॥

    Maajh Raag, by the Fifth Guru, First Beat:

  23. ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ॥

    One can enjoy the bliss by enshrining the Guru’s teachings in the heart.

  24. ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਲੈ ਗੁਝਾ ਰਖਿਆ ॥

    Meritorious is the person who sings God’s praises.

  25. ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਖਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

    Praising the Naam, one becomes pleasing to the True One.

  26. ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਕਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥

    I dedicate my life, to those who recite and preach Naam in this age of Kalyug.

  27. ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਚੈ ਧਾਰੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    The Guru’s follower always remains imbued with the love of God.

  28. ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਜਿਸੈ ਕਉ ਫਿਰਦੇ ॥

    Realizing the eternal God, glory is obtained.

  29. ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਹਿਰਦੇ ॥

    upon Whom Brahma and Indra meditate within their hearts,

  30. ਕੋਟਿ ਤੇਤੀਸਾ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

    The self-willed person does all the deeds out of ego.

  31. ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੁਧੁ ਜਾਪੇ ਪਵਨਾ ॥

    He loses in the gamble of life.

  32. ਧਰਤੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਪਾਇਕ ਚਰਨਾ ॥

    The entire creation is humbly at your command.

  33. ਖਾਣੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

    Within him is the greed and terrible darkness of ignorance.

  34. ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥

    He keeps suffering in the cycles of birth and death.

  35. ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਿਞਾਪੈ ॥

    He is realized through the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru.

  36. ਜਿਨ ਪੀਆ ਸੇਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਅਘਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

    The Creator Himself bestows Glory on those, whom He Himself has so predestined.

  37. ਤਿਸੁ ਘਰਿ ਸਹਜਾ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥

    O’ Nanak, they are blessed with Naam, the destroyer of fear and they enjoy peace by following the Guru’s word.

  38. ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਕੇਲਾ ॥

    such a person always enjoys spiritual pleasure and bliss.

  39. ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਸੋ ਵਡ ਸਾਹਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

    Maajh Raag, by the Fifth Guru, First Beat:

  40. ਪਹਿਲੋ ਦੇ ਤੈਂ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥

    Incomprehensible God is within all, but everyone cannot comprehend this.

  41. ਪਿਛੋ ਦੇ ਤੈਂ ਜੰਤੁ ਉਪਾਹਾ ॥

    He has placed the jewel like Naam in a concealed place within the body.

  42. ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

    None is so great a provider as You are, O’ my Master, no one even comes closer.

  43. ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਤੁਠਾ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

    The Inaccessible and Incomprehensible God, the highest of all, is realized through the Guru’s word.

  44. ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਕਮਾਏ ॥

    I dedicate my life, to those who recite and preach Naam in this age of Kalyug.

  45. ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸਗਲੇ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਦਰਗਹ ਠਾਕ ਨ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

    Such a person swims across worldly-ocean of vices and emancipates his family too. None can bar his entry into God’s court.
